Prizes
One winning recipe from each of these four regions (Western Canada; Ontario and Northern Canada; Quebec; and Atlantic Canada) will be selected.  From the regional winners, one recipe will be selected as the overall national winner.  $500 and a Mott's* Clamato* bartending gift pack will be awarded to the winning recipe in each region (Total prize value = $700). The overall national winner will be awarded an additional $1000 and a personal summer supply of Mott's* Clamato* (Total prize value = $1070).

Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded and may not be transferred or exchanged.  The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to substitute a prize of equal or greater value, for any reason.

Awarding of Prize(s)
During the week of April 14 – 18, 2008, all eligible recipes submitted during the Competition Period will be reviewed by a panel of judges.  Three recipes will be selected from each region as semi-finalists as determined by the judges in their sole discretion.  Only those recipes selected as semi-finalists will be prepared by professional bartenders from across Canada and evaluated by the panel of judges on the following criteria, weighted equally:

  • Recipe taste
  • Uniqueness
  • Interesting Ingredients / Regional Flair
  • Ease of Preparation (including the use of readily-available ingredients)
  • Presentation
  • Overall Impression

The highest overall score will be selected from among the three regional semi-final recipes to determine the regional winner for each region.  The regional recipe with the highest overall score will then be named the national winner.  In the event of a tie, judges will be asked to re-evaluate each drink.

Each selected entrant will be contacted by telephone and/or email.  If a selected entrant cannot be reached by April 30, 2008 after 3 attempts another entrant will be selected.

The judging will be conducted by a panel of judges whose decisions on all aspects of this Competition shall be deemed as final and binding in all respects.  In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these rules, the decision of the Competition judges shall prevail.

Odds of winning depend on the number and calibre of eligible entries received during the Competition Period.

Before being declared a winner, the selected entrants will be required to complete and sign a declaration and release form (or any other document, as applicable) in order to confirm compliance with the rules and regulations, accept the prize as awarded, release the Sponsor and its affiliated companies from any liability, and consent to the use of his or her recipe, his or her name, address (city and province/territory) photograph, and likeness, as described more fully below.
